As far back as I can remember I always envisioned what my home personal kitchen would look like some day. Now after some 28 years in the cooking business I have a kitchen at home that I can entertain with and in for any occasion.

It all started when I met the owner of Northpointe Cabinets Design in Commerce Michigan. I explained my vision to Mark Tithof who immediately understood what I was trying to accomplish in a new spec home I had moved into. He immediately assigned his top designers to assist in a new layout per my needs for both home use and the ability to film cooking segments in for TV.

It wasn't long before the old kitchen was being carted away and the new pieces were coming in. Les Care was the chosen cabinet. Top of the line in style and functionality.

The granite surface color was selected to develop a rich feel to the overall kitchen with the deep olive green cabinets. Only big dilemma was the bringing the 900 lbs. Of granite through the door and setting it in place. But the team at Ultimate Marble and Granite handled it without a problem.

For the appliances I called my long time supporter and friend at Trevarrow Inc. Bruce Trevarrow. Bruce's company is based in Auburn Hills Michigan. He is the leading distributor of all Wolf and Sub Zero Appliances, the best of the best.

So as Mark's team started assembling the new layout, Bruce's team started the delivery and installation of all the appliances.

Once all the pieces were in place a master and I am not joking when I say master craftsman in old world tile work from Italy Gent started his artistic tiling.

Once he was done a very talented lady and wife of one of Mark's partners Rick Hrdlicka and his wife Hailey worked her stylish magic that she is known for in the painting world and brushed a suede look onto the walls.

Then it was time to redress the kitchen and find a new home for all of my life long collections of pots and pans in preparation to start filming in the new kitchen.
