Skyla had the time of her life on her trip to Disney World!

Love permeated the room when Grammy nominated singer, Usher walked
into the hospital room of little Jasmine!
Jasmine's wish was to have Usher sing to her!
She also received a TV and a VCR to complete her wish. Special Thanks to Farmer Jack
Supermarkets and Usher for making her dream come true.

Scott was thrilled with his wish, a Honda Jeep! In his thank you letter to The Rainbow Connection, he writes, "Thanks so much for my Jeep! I can't believe how cool it is! You have made me so happy. I love the Red Wings stuff on it. You have to see it, on the back it says, 'My other car is a Zamboni!'"

Skyla had the time of her life on her trip to Disney World! Laughing and smiling was a nice change from the hospitals, needles and doctor visits. What a sweetie!

Andrea's mom told us, "Andrea's eyes just sparkled the entire time we were in Florida.

She carries a photo album around with her everywhere to show people all about her trip. The trip was wonderful and we all had such a great time!"

Martinez was riding high on his trip to Disney World! You can see by his smile he was having a great time.

He and his family had a 'trip of a lifetime'. The big smile on Brittany's pretty little face is a clear indication of just how happy she was to receive her wish. A computer is what she wanted and a computer is what she got!

Mmmmm. thirsty? Coconut Water!

Grammy nominated recording artist Usher and The Rainbow Connections's wish child, Jasmine.

The Rainbow Connection Logo

The Rainbow Connection is a Michigan non-profit organization established in 1985. The mission of The Rainbow Connection is to grant wishes to children, 3-18 years old, who have been diagnosed with life threatening illnesses.

Many children have seen their dreams come true because of this organization. All terrain wheel chairs, computers, opportunities to meet their favorite celebrity, shopping sprees, and the most requested gift of all........a trip to Disney World! The family is always included in these trips. The trips are a wonderful way to bring a family together in a positive, hopeful and happy situation. After all, everyone is effected by these awful illnesses.

Another component of The Rainbow Connection is their Wish Enhancement Program. This program is designed to provide fun opportunities to the wish child and their families, once their wish has been granted. Some of the enhancements have been tickets to sporting events, theatre, the circus and picnics. This program is supported 100% by the generous donations of individuals and corporations. The Rainbow Connection believes that laughter and happiness are very therapeutic. Providing families with opportunities to escape the hardships that accompany life-threatening illnesses is an important part of the mission of The Rainbow Connection.

All wishes are considered without regard to gender, race or religious preference. Solely fundraisers and private donations support the organization.

A Board of Directors governs The Rainbow Connection. Under their direction is the Executive Director, who is responsible for the overall operation of the organization and is assisted by a multitude of volunteers. Without volunteers, this organization could not succeed.

We hope you enjoy looking at some of the wonderful memories that have been
created for a few of these very special kids!

Chef Keith Famie, the 2nd Vice President on the Board of Directors for The Rainbow Connection, took three Rainbow Connection wish children and their families to Hawaii to shoot a very special "Famie's Adventures in Cooking" segment. This once in a life time trip gave Brittany, Kelly and Denzel a chance to swim with the dolphins at the beautiful Waikaloa Village. Northwest Airlines, Farmer Jack Supermarkets and Hiram Walker sponsored this wish enhancement. Waikaloa Village donated the exquisite accommodations. Thank you to these very special sponsors.
