my first Half Ironman we started tapering so the muscles
would not be sore for race day.
First Half Ironman….a new experience for this body for
sure. 7 long hours. But extremely gratifying ones.
The Week after I spent moving offices and Ed staid up north
with the kids and his wife who is an angel for letting him spend
all this time training me.
We started back up September 2nd. Went on a five mile run.
It was as if my body forgot everything ..Ed sent me an e-mail
later that day…I am very concerned.
During the following days I had to build back up to the level
I was at.
We ran 20 miles
We rode 100 miles
Now its building the 180 laps in the pool or 2.4 miles….
it’s a two hour swim….we are doing it almost dailey
